Federal apostille or authentication
Federal agency documents generally follow the U.S. Department of State route.

- Do not send a state document to the federal route by default.
Apostille and translation order
An apostille authenticates a public signature or seal; it does not translate the document.
- Check the apostille authority’s instructions and prepare the required original, official certified copy, or notarized original.
- Usually, obtain the apostille first and then translate the document and apostille page together.
- Before ordering the translation, ask the recipient in Kazakhstan which certification or notarization format it requires.
